We need the brightest minds to thrive and grow in this busy retail world. That’s why we’ve created multiple programs to develop and invest in college students and recent grads. From special programs for rising college juniors and seniors, to career development opportunities for recent grads, Belk offers a wealth of options to launch your career.
Recent college grads can kick-start their career with our Retail Development Program. Spanning business functions including Merchandising, Allocation, eCommerce, Store Management, Finance and Supply Chain, this program offers an intensive focus on professional development, job-specific skill mastery and exposure to senior executives. Upon completion, these future leaders will have the opportunity to make an impact within our business.
For rising college seniors, we offer 10-week internship opportunities in a variety of fields including buying, planning, design, supply chain, store management and more. No matter the area of business, every day is packed with real-world experience and exposure to roles within departments across our entire company. These programs offer hands-on learning, exposure to senior leadership and group projects designed to boost your portfolio and impact our business.
Our newest program provides rising college juniors with an inside peek of what it’s like to work in the retail fashion industry. Get ready for first-hand experiences with merchandising, planning, private brands, supply chain management and retail analytics. Plus, shadow key associates and engage with other college students by attending seminars and taking part in special case studies.
