Position Summary:

The Belk Fulfillment Center’s Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the safe maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality while also supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the facility.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Comply with and expand upon if necessary, all Belk and OSHA Safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures while carrying out maintenance functions.
  • Follow and enforce all Belk rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain required certifications for assigned Maintenance Personnel.
  • Set priorities and direct the Maintenance Department in day to day operations.
  • Conduct yearly performance reviews for the Maintenance Department personnel.
  • Conduct 30,60,90 day evaluations for new hires.
  • Supervise BFC’s maintenance personnel ensuring that all responsibilities and functions of assigned direct reports are being followed.
  • Ensure that the Maintenance CMMS System is being utilized properly.
  • Close out assigned personnel PM’s and WO’s.
  • Create and Schedule Maintenance WO’s
  • Interface with outside Contractors and Vendors.
  • Conducts, daily audits of PM’s.
  • Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment.  Initiate reordering of supplies when necessary.
  • Ensure maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
  • Track, analyze, and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance and scheduling compliance.
  • Oversee the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of MHE systems.
  • Assist with planning, supervising and implementing plant improvements, projects and expansions.
  • Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or operating cost reductions.
  • Implement, maintain, and update an Operating and Training manual for the maintenance department.
  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of shift and leave 30 minutes after the end of shift to ensure proper pass down between shifts.
  • Work overtime or non-scheduled hours as requested by the Maintenance Manager or Operations.
  • Assist other members of the Maintenance Department with completing tasks when needed.
Requirements/Qualifications:

·        Bachelors Degree

·        Ability to read schematics

·        3 years of experience with DC control systems, MHE equipment maintenance, Facilities equipment maintenance, electrical, mechanical, lighting and plumbing.

·        Must have strong organizational and problem solving skills.

·        Held a Leadership role for at least 2 years.

·        Must have excellent data entry skills in the areas of alpha and numeric data entry.
