The role of the Testing Analyst position within Sales Promotion is to design statistically valid tests, measurement plans, and present recommendations based on the results for go-forward Marketing strategy. The person will need to have good understanding in experimental design, sampling procedures, and statistical measurement to ensure that results are sound.
This person should have heavy interest in Marketing effectiveness, and a general understanding of marketing tactics and how best to execute and measure tests within each. Having a background within CRM would be beneficial, as this person will be expected to ideate and suggest new tests within the 1:1 marketing space (direct mail, email). Some experience or understanding of panel analysis is also preferred.
Finally, this person will be expected to manage and facilitate multiple tests going on simultaneously across multiple tactics. Being able to keep track and ensuring tests don’t impact each other is critical to share results confidently to key stakeholders. Similarly, this person will need to keep an active repository of all test results so they can be referenced when needed.
