Position Summary:
The Sr. Systems Analyst provides technical expertise related to Oracle Retail merchandise suite (RMS, Allocation, RPM and RIB). Plans work with Business Analysts to define technical requirements and any support related changes. Designs customizations, conversions, and interfaces as necessary. Creates diagrams and flows to represent system design as dictated by the architect. Develops implementation strategy. Provides warranty period production support for applications in area of responsibility. The Sr. Systems Analyst will be responsible for developing solutions on the Oracle Retail technology stack. This role requires technical expertise in Oracle forms, PL/SQL, PRO C.  Ideal candidate will have a combination of technical and functional knowledge of the Oracle Retail merchandise suite (70% technical – 30% functional).
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Systems Analysis and Design

  • Clarifies technical requirements and influences decisions that lead to the right solutions

  • Prepare technical designs for modifications and integrations to Oracle Retail MOM (RMS, ReSA, RIB, RPM, REIM)

  • Candidate has the capability of completing technical and functional tasks (70% technical – 30% functional)

  • Understand business requirement. Understand capability of RMS application and design and develop solutions

  • Develop programs using SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX Scripting, Pro*C, Oracle Forms/Reports and/or Java

  • Design high performing technology solutions for an Oracle Retail Merchandising platform

  • Prepare and execute unit/system test scripts to verify business logic of new or modified programs and mitigate post implementation failures

  • Candidate will be responsible for working on custom extensions across RMS, ReIM, ReSA and RPM 

  • Designs new, and modifies existing, customizations, conversions, and interfaces as necessary

  • Design, code, test, correct, and document complex programs and scripts

  • Provides estimates for work effort required

  • Complies with and demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology for assigned projects and tasks 

  • Maintains positive attitude and momentum in challenging situations

  • Communicates effectively with all partners

  • Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work

Requirements/Qualifications:

 

Essentials:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field strongly preferred.

·   Experience in Oracle retail implementations

·   Hands on coding in PL SQL, Proc C, RMS forms, Java, Shell scripts

·   Experience in ADF

·   Deep technical knowledge of Oracle Retail applications – RMS, Allocation, RPM, RIB, ReSA, REIM (at least 4 of them)

·   Good functional understanding of RMS, Alloc, RPM

Experience in Java including development in Java

Desirable:

·   Experience leading contractors /consultants

·   Strong verbal, written, communication and presentation skills

·   Should be team player, with ability to work in a highly collaborative environment

·    Experience with upgrading RMS to version 15,16

·   Ability to learn new application quickly
