Position Summary:

The role of the Senior Financial Analyst is to provide accurate, timely and insightful financial and operational analysis, to lead the expense forecast process, to identify expense risks & opportunities and to identify and implement process improvement opportunities both within the Financial Planning Department and throughout the organization.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Major responsibilities:


  • Assist the FP&A Director and Manager with consolidation of the annual expense budgeting process
  • Lead and coordinate the expense rebudgeting process throughout the year
  • Lead the bi-weekly expense forecast process as well as identify and consolidate total company risks & opportunities
  • Become subject matter expert in and serve as main FP&A business partner to Supply Chain. This includes assisting in development of annual expense budgets, coordinating forecast updates based on current state of the business and trends, assisting with financial modeling that is requested and understanding current risks and opportunities within the Supply Chain business
  • Perform ad hoc analysis on all areas of the business as requested by the Manager of FP&A, Director of FP&A, VP of Finance and CFO
  • Develop budget, forecast, scenario planning reporting for inclusion in executive level presentations
  • Develop actionable reporting that will be used to drive expense management decision making / EBITDA improvement
  • Identify process improvements within the FP&A Department, including but not limited to report reduction, process automation, improved use of technology, improved communication and data hand-off and documentation of key assumptions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with departmental and divisional management and expense budget owners

Management Practices & Business Applications:

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to design and implement process improvements.

Education & Experience

  • Four Year Degree, Finance or Business, MBA preferred
  • 3-4 years Financial Analysis experience with a proven track record of increasing responsibility, preferably within FP&A (retail a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to create complex financial models
