Position Summary:

The Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist’s goal is to help develop and implement strategic marketing plans for Digital Marketing to generate omni-channel sales. This includes the strategy, execution and management of multiple email and SMS marketing programs. This person will report to the Email Marketing Manager and collaborate with various cross functional teams including Digital Marketing, eCommerce, IT and Merchandising as well as outside partners and vendors.

 

This position will be responsible for driving growth and managing the following channels:

 

Triggered/Automated Emails   

·        Strategic planning and implementation of email campaigns with heavy emphasis on personalized and dynamic content or refined customer segments

·        Launch new 1-to-1 automated email journeys based on customer interactions and behaviors

·        Measure email campaign performance and utilize data to recommend email optimization strategies

·        Work closely with creative team to execute email creative. Ensure accuracy, quality and adherence to email best practices

·        Partner with internal and external technical resources to ensure accurate flow of data between sources

·        Address technical and data issues, working towards a quick resolution with partners

  • Perform day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, drafting creative briefs, testing, QA, campaign set-up/scheduling, and campaign performance analytics

 

 

SMS/Text Messaging Marketing

·        Maintain the SMS promotional calendar and send schedule

·        Perform day-today SMS marketing activities including, but not limited to, content development, QA, campaign set-up/scheduling and campaign performance analytics 

·        Develop a short-term and longer-term strategy to grow the SMS program and its impact

 

 

Acquisition Marketing

·        Support email and SMS capture efforts online and in stores

·        Lead paid media acquisition strategies with external email vendors 

 

 

Additional Responsibilities

·        Act as primary point of contact for several key vendors  

·        Work closely with Email Marketing Manager and Director of Digital Marketing to identify enhancements and develop new strategies tied to areas of responsibility

·        Educate internal partners about digital marketing best practices and processes

·        Keep external partners informed of marketing goals, changes and opportunities  

·        Facilitate data and CRM project priorities with ESP

  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Position Requirements-

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related degree preferred
  • 4 or more years of Email, Digital Marketing or related experience
  • Experience with Automated or Triggered emails
  • In-depth knowledge of email marketing best practices including design, deliverability and CAN-SPAM
  • Experience with large-scale ESP and marketing automation technology. Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred.
  • Basic understanding of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) guidelines and regulations as well as SMS best practices
  • Familiarity with principles of database marketing segmentation preferred
  • Retail experience preferred
