Position Summary:The Sourcing Analyst will work closely with the Sourcing Managers and Senior Sourcing Analysts on the administrative tasks and reporting, to support the strategic sourcing and contract management processes.  This role partners with external vendors, internal business partners and Belk’s legal, corporate finance, and accounting teams on a daily basis.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Supports Sourcing Manager on sourcing activities including, but not limited to:
    • developing RFI/RFPs
    • scoring RFI/RFPs
    • preparing for vendor meetings
    • preparing for stakeholder meetings
    • contract administration (e.g. contract quality assurance, processing statements of work and contract change requests, submitting contracts for accounting approval),
    • financial analysis of bids and contracts
    • contract negotiation and vendor communication
    • manage reporting for vendor spend, expiring contracts, vendor payment terms, supplier diversity, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with legal and financial requirements
  • Ensures that all sourcing and procurement activities follow standard policy, procedures, and methodology, while adhering to compliance standards and meeting project timescales
  • Researches, identifies and reviews new vendor sources
  • Develops strong working relationships with team members and business partners to achieve desired outcomes for issues and objectives
  • Actively supports and engages with experts and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvements are identified through due diligence and benchmarking processes

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of work experience
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Experience working in an environment with tight deadlines and multi-tasking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience collaborating across and organization and building strong relationships
  • Excellent skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
