Position Summary:

The Associate QA Engineer – Supply Chain is responsible for supporting applications from manual and automation testing perspective by assuring the quality of the ECOM site, Middleware, DOM and EDW systems functionalities by developing manual and automation test scripts, executing test plans and scripts to verify that existing and new or modified software programs function according to business requirements and conform to established guidelines. Additional responsibilities would be communicating with delivery team and identifying and securing test environments for testing.   

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Defines develop and maintain test scripts.

  • Executes test plans and test scripts independently based on planned project schedules and in accordance with QA methodology.

  • Escalates proactively issues to the QA Lead

  • Alerts the project team on the potential impact to test schedule.

  • Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of tests scripts. 

  • Drives defect towards resolution

  • Proposes and designs test cases, test scripts and test data for defect retests.

  • Provides timely and accurate status defect information and appropriate metrics to facilitate QA reporting.

  • Provides consistent and uninterrupted testing service to the organization and minimizes the risk of system downtime.

  • Reviews requirements and specifications and provides input during requirements and specification walkthrough.

  • Develops and executes complex SQL queries.

  • Runs jobs using ETL tool.

  • Reviews logs in Unix system.

  • Prepares XML files for test scenarios.

  • Processes XML files from Manhattan Integration Framework (MIF).

  • Validates data transfer process in Integration Framework (MIF)

  • Handles and validates transactions in Manhattan DOM System

  • Performs Orders and Inventory Validation in DOM and WMI.

  • Loads data to Demandware back office tool and validate results in ECOM site.

  • Uses MQ explorer to review the messages and pass messages to the different systems.

  • Processes Orders and Inventory in WMI.

  • Creating and testing dropship orders and fulfillment

  • Testing BOPIS functionalities

  • Reviews web service calls for inventory, auth, re-auth and settlement

  • Loads data I ReSA and validate using data mappings

  • Developing and running automation test scripts

  • Migrate data from legacy systems to new systems.

  • Participates in all different test phase as per the project needs

     

  • Contributes to the development of the test plans and project testing approach. 

  • Provides inputs to the development of project and Release Test Plan documents. 

  • Understands and contributes to the process of test estimates and project schedules.

  • Participates in test planning, test case design and test script walkthroughs with QA Leads.

  • Understands testing to be accomplished and suggests changes for efficiencies within or between projects

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidates should have at least 3-6 years overall experience in software test development and must have minimum of 3 years of testing experience with order management and warehouse management systems

  • Working Knowledge in DOM, Warehouse management, Integration tools. Working knowledge on Manhattan tools is a plus

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Experience in testing cross OS and browser based web applications (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, IE)

  • Attention to details during testing and requirement specification

  • Knowledge in using automated testing tools

  • Demonstrate Good analytical skills

  • Good understanding of overall QA methodologies and process

  • Experience with continuous delivery/integration model is a plus

  • Exhibit critical thinking

  • Driving and implementing testing and test strategy

  • Owning and writing test cases and work with other engineers in team and deliver the complete work

  • Dealing with offshore team daily and providing necessary hand-off

  • Available support team working extended hours over the weekdays or weekends when there is a need

  • Provide up to date status update to team lead and/or manager

  • Defect review and management, Testing documentation, execution and management

  • Working knowledge on Selenium and UFT is a plus

  • Ability to develop reports and presentations that effectively communicate important and complex processes in business terms

  • Excellent knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, AIX, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge on SQL and queue manager, knowledge on with performance test tools such as HP LoadRunner, SOASTA CloudTest, Gomez etc.
