Position Summary:The Product Data Analyst maintains the formation and execution of product data governance framework and standards to ensure quality product data structure is available to cross-functional teams for product assignment and attribution.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Subject matter expert in product specific selling attributes and data structures
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to analyze, educate and assist in understanding standards for product data compliance
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in product attribute creation and data collection
  • Serve as escalation point when analyzing product data for compliance per Belk product data standards and other applicable industry standards
  • Coordinate and document processes, prioritize workloads, and organize training information for team and other departments
  • Define and implement best practices for product attributes
  • Perform changes to data structure to better support downstream systems – will be implemented through product Information Management System (PIM) hierarchy, brand, global attributes and values
  • Execute all mapping changes from Oracle RMS merchant hierarchy to Item Primary Hierarchy (IPH) hierarchy

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Previous experience with data structure and product attribution
  • 3 – 5 years Retail experience preferred
  • Functional understanding of retail business processes
  • Preferred to have project management experience or experience working on projects with set deadlines
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft suite of applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point).  Proficient in Excel
  • The position requires knowledge of and hands-on experience with one or more of the following types of application suites:
  • Oracle RMS
  • IBM Business Glossary
