Position Summary:
Support the Supplier Manager in the procurement of supplies, print management, and in-store services and equipment.  Provide financial reporting for supplies/inventory, print and travel, including comparative analysis of weekly/monthly reports.  Analyze and create report summaries to be presented to executives.  Support procurement activities involving, but not limited to, purchasing request due diligence, vendor proposal negotiation, purchase order writing, invoice matching.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Support procurement activities involving, but not limited to, purchasing request due diligence, vendor proposal negotiation, purchase order writing, invoice matching and successful vendor relationship management
  • Process invoices for payment in accordance with payment cycle.
  • Submit accruals to appropriate personnel by financial due date.
  • Support new store openings 
  • Submit invoice reconciliation each month to accounting.
  • Provide data analytics of supplies/inventory, store usage, annual and monthly spend
  • Analyze and create spend report summaries
  • Create, compile and analyze store surveys 
  • Participate in company and department wide initiatives, including projects that are designed to improve processes and reduce operating costs.

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated results in achieving high level of excellence in customer service. 
  • Experience in building internal and external relationships at all corporate levels.
  • Strong systems experience with Lawson, and various ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Lawson, and other internal Belk software applications, such as, but not limited to Hyperion/Essbase.
  • Associate’s degree and/or equivalent years of experience
  • Procurement experience – Minimum 3 years, ideally in retail
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and excellent in achieving results.  
  • Self-driven when tasked with unique and challenging issues.
