Position Summary:
The role of Interactive Marketing Manager is to develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies, programs and infrastructure to achieve online and in-store sales for Belk. A strong creative mind and innovator, the Interactive Manager will drive online customer acquisition and retention, channel development, and align all aspects of marketing to the corporate goals. The Interactive Manager is to develop and grow paid search, display advertising, online remarketing, affiliate advertising, comparison shopping, and inventory data feed driven programs. This is accomplished by managing a team of skilled marketers effectively, working with cross functional teams, vendor partners and agency partners. This position is perfectly suited for a high energy, highly motivated individual who has a foundation of retail experience in interactive marketing and is looking to apply that experience within a high performance culture. This position will serve as the liaison between and the Marketing Sales & Promotions departments on all interactive marketing initiatives.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Partners with interactive advertising agencies to maximize ROI across all interactive media components: paid search, display, affiliates, comparison shopping sites, remarketing programs,  and product data feed driven programs such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN
  • Manages a team of skilled marketing professionals
  • Develop quarterly plans, optimize operations, and drive business results
  • Work with key stakeholders and internal departments to define marketing strategy, objectives and deadlines to ensure strategic imperatives are met
  • Develops and executes multichannel acquisition strategies and tactics designed to increase reach, frequency and increase sales
  • Direct engagement with senior management to report on performance, strategize future quarterly plans and act as lead on special projects to increase brand voice and company sales
  • Creates and maintains relationship with key business and vendor partners

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated track record of managing a sizeable budget, driving financial performance, and attaining measurable results through projects
  • Demonstrated success in driving complex projects within cross functional teams including IT and Merchandising
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of full range of interactive media (all channels and pricing models), media planning and execution timelines
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
  • 5-7 years of digital marketing experience 
  • Hands on experience with paid media buying
