The successful candidate will lead the Infrastructure architecture (plan) & engineering (Build) function and will work with our stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, Application Delivery Teams, and partners to establish and operate a comprehensive infrastructure function for Belk. The Director of Infrastructure Architecture & engineering will be a career systems engineer who has progressed to senior leadership.
This leader will plan, articulate Belk’s infrastructure technology strategy, and execute the transformation across the portfolio so that we progress towards target end state and actualize planned advantages. The successful candidate will also necessarily be expert at financial models associated with technology decisions, including upfront investment, total cost of ownership, and expense / run models. The successful candidate will also have recent experience with technology trends, and will be knowledgeable about how best to implement cloud options in retail to best advantage.
This director will specialize in delivery of all infrastructure for Belk IT projects per project schedules, including management of capital and expense budgets and staff.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or other relative Technical Degree
10+ years working experience with a broad range of Infrastructure solutions for both data center and retail stores related technologies
4+ years of Director or higher role in Retail or similar industry
Hands-on experience in building/operating/managing infrastructure technologies (Cisco Networking, IBM Power Series Servers, SAN/NAS, VMware/Hyper-V/VIO/Power VM, AIX, RHEL, Active Directory/ Microsoft Windows, Oracle servers)
Possess deep technical experience including designing, installing, integrating, implementing, and supporting multiple versions of application and infrastructure components.
Experience in datacenter migration & consolidation is a huge plus.
